TOM ADAMS

MC

I am a comedian who writes comedy songs and wants to get better and better at it. I like to talk on stage, like a regular stand up comedian, but I also want to have music as well. So, why not write songs that I can talk over, that tell a story, and have a catchy little chorus. I want to become a regular on the comedy circuit, but not play clubs where it's all crude, racist humour. I will be performing at The Edinburgh Festival this year. I am an actor who trained at Circus School. Clowning and Physical Comedy are my strengths.

THE MENACE

Written by Jonathan Clarkson
Performed by Jonathan Clarkson and Rob Crouch

Jonathan Clarkson and Rob Crouch have been performing together for 5 years. “The Menace” is a serious piece about a problem facing today’s society that it seems no-one is currently willing to stand up and address, or even accept that it is happening on their own doorstep.

Rob is one third of Crocanapple, producers of acclaimed comedy podcast The Paranormalists, and also artistic director of Brute Farce Theatre Co. whose production of Moll Flanders has just begun a national tour. More info may be found at www.brutefarce.co.uk .

Jonathan is the writer and creator of the sitcom Not Barking But Howling (www.notbarkingbuthowling.com) in which he and Rob play Prentis and Mig Hatchett, two werewolves who run a minicab firm in New Cross. He is currently working on a comedy pilot for radio.

The Babushka Dolls
Paula Henstock and Zoe Alyssa

The Babushka Dolls are a newly formed sketch comedy Duo. Paula Henstock and Zoe Alyssa Cooper have varied experience in the comedy world. For Paula this has included work at Lowdown at The Albany, London and for Zoe as a performer in the show 'Happy Hour', Big Little Theatre, New York. Finding inspiration from their experiences not only as women living in London but also as actors finding their way, they give you a window to observe a funny and sometimes surreal look into their lives. They thank Hamish Gray and Naomi Roper for their help with the work you see today

1-900-DESPERATE

Written by Christopher Durang
Scuzzy - Jonathan Clarkson
Zelda - Erica Fee
Sally - Natalie Haverstock
Little Boy - Philip Lawrence
Gretchen - Victoria Lepper

Christopher Durang is widely regarded as one of America's greatest playwrights. His work, which is at times descirbed as controversial, biting, and absurdist, is absolutely never dull. In 2004, Skullduggery presented the UK premiere of a collection of Durang's shorts, entitled DURANG DURANG, at the Edinburgh Festival. On 10 and 11 May, the show is being revived to play at the Udder Place at the Brighton Festival and we are considering including this play.

SITTING AROUND IN MY PANTS

No Cause for a Llama
Andy Irvine, Nikolai Vladimirovich von Schlippe, Gareth Davies, Phil Leamon with help from Jenny Thurston

No Cause for a Llama are a bunch of guys who have spent most of the last few years getting together and eating and occasionally writing stuff they thought was funny. They have decided that now is the time to inflict their digested scribblings onto the world. They are appearing at Scratch Sundays ahead of their show 'Sitting Around in my Pants' having a week-long run at the Courtyard Theatre in Old Street (1 – 6 April).
